标题[问题] 帮我看这句独立夺格

itaque convocatis centurionibus milites certiores facit (B. G iii. 5)
英文翻译: and so, having called the centurions together, he informs the soldiers
(the centurions having been called together)
1. 想请问独立夺格的部分是指convocatis centurionibus (召集百人长)吗?
提醒一下: 这边的convocatis是被动分词的abl，所以正确翻法是藉由百人长被召集...
如果是主动分词(convocans)的abl,只有convocate/convocati两种写法
2. certiores我查是certus的比较级，这边怎麽翻成inform?
3. 问一个很蠢的问题，名言後面写的出处常是缩略字，有没有表可以查啊?
