Jack Phillips,radio operator aboard the Titanic,relayed both CQD and SOS calls to be sure that there wouldn't be any misunderstanding.However,his message fell on deaf ears.The rudeness with which Philips brushed off warnings of icebergs,had prompted the wireless operator on the nearby Californian to switch off the radio.Only in the wake of the Titanic disaster did a universal set of distress calls surface. 这是最近上托福课程上到一篇文章,我有疑问的是中间那段 The rudeness with which Philips brushed off warnings of icebergs,had prompted the wireless operator on the nearby Californian to switch off the radio.我的疑问是which为什麽前面 要有个with,我们老师跟我解释说The rudeness是指"Philips先生他发出了讯号,却没有 人理会",可是我实在搞不懂,明明句子的结构应该是"The rudensee had prompted..to switch off the radio" which是关系代名词引导Philips brushed off warnings of icebergs,所以按照我的思维The rudeness是指Philips先生不接受有冰山的警告, 为什麽老师的说法跟我不一样,另,照我的想法,which不必在前面放介系词阿, 为什麽这边会有个介系词 with??? 我们老师是说...which 的先行词是The rudeness没错,它只不过多出个with 而已 .....但是这样说我就越觉得奇怪了,with有什麽功用吗?? 不然为什麽在先行词和介系 词之间要加with??不是多此一举吗?? 虽然我问了老师 可是对文章却越来越模糊 麻烦这边的高手哥哥姊姊帮我解答 ^ ^ --
