Russell
D'Angelo Russell: "I consider myself the top basketball player in the draft.
"He's a guy I could definitely play with. He's versatile. He can play on the
ball or off the ball."
D'Angelo Russell on what he'll ask Kobe when he meets him face to face: "I
don't know, I'll probably get starstruck a little bit."
"I came in for 2 workouts. They give you practice gear...I didn't keep it!"
D'Angelo on Byron comparing him to Magic Johnson: "I’m not the basketball
player that he is. But that’s something I’m working to become."
"The chemistry that we build on the floor will help us grow together."
Nance:
"I was nervous to send [Kobe Bryant] a long message and then just get an
'Okay,' or not a response at all. I'm just so, so glad he handled that in the
manner he did. I still could be up here with a stomach in my knot, or a knot
in my stomach. But he did a terrific job and I can't thank him enough for
forgiving me." He's 'Mr. Bryant' to me.
Bryant"
Brown
Anthony Brown:
"I'm definitely proud to be a Laker, a lot comes with putting on that jersey."
"This is a family, and we’re ready to compete."
Randle
From Mike Trudell Twitter:
Kupchak said Julius Randle continues to look terrific at the team's facility
daily, and that he's playing full court, full speed 1-on-1.
