Given that the NBA has not rescinded Bryant’s iffy technical foul called by referee Violet Palmer on Friday night in Portland, according to a league official Sunday night, that puts Bryant on the brink of a one-game regular-season suspension with another technical. Bryant has 15 for the season, and one-game suspensions kick in for every other technical, starting at 16. The playoffs are unaffected by this count. All counts reset when the playoffs begin, and players are limited to seven technicals then. The Lakers did go on a run after the Bryant-Perkins incident, in which the ruling was a double foul. Oklahoma City led, 56-44, at the time, Bryant scored the game’s next five points, and the Lakers went into halftime down, 66-64.
