Coach Mike D'Antoni said it's "not out of the realm of possibility" that
Ronny Turiaf becomes a permanent starter.
Turiaf is going to start while Danilo Gallinari (knee) is out 2-3 weeks. It
allows Amare Stoudemire to shift back to his natural power forward position
while giving the Knicks an actual defensive presence. Turiaf, however, is
wildly inconsistent on a night-to-night basis and won't play true starter's
minutes. In six previous starts, he averaged 4.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3
blocks in 23 minutes a night. Deep leaguers desperate for blocks should add
Turiaf, but expect some duds.
