标题[外电] Knicks waive Ewing Jr.

Patrick Ewing Jr. has been waived by the Knicks - the second time in three
years he did not make the team out of training camp. Ewing was outplayed by
Shawne Williams, who stays as the 15th man.
Williams, whose had multiple drug arrests, was drafted by Donnie Walsh at
Indiana four years ago and is the better offensive player and outside
shooter. He shot 57 percent in preseason in 4.8 minutes per game. Ewing is
the better defender and had a $100,000 guarantee. Williams hit both of his
shots in the preseason finale in Montreal Friday, scoring seven points.
