Melo gets 15-game suspension for brawl
Carmelo Anthony - F - DEN - Dec. 18 - 12:58 p.m. ET
Carmelo Anthony, the NBA's leading scorer, has been suspended for 15 games
for his role in Saturday's brawl with the Knicks, when he sucker-punched
Mardy Collins once order was close to being restored. He'll return to
action Jan. 20 at Houston.
Melo's teammate, J.R. Smith, received a 10-game suspension and Nene got
one game. For the Knicks, Nate Robinson received a 10-game suspension,
while Mardy Collins got six games, Jared Jeffries four and Jerome James
received a one-game ban. We'll have more details on who fantasy owners
want to target with this news, but it appears that players like Earl Boykins,
Reggie Evans, Andre Miller and Marcus Camby should have extra value without
Anthony on the court over the next month.Dec. 18 - 12:58 p.m. ET
