Geoff Petrie recently returned from Europe where he had a chance to watch
point guards Ricky Rubio and Brandon Jennings as well as other international
prospects. He is scheduled to head back across the pond to Spain (Barcelona
and Madrid) next week to watch Rubio1 s DKV Joventut team play in the Spanish
ACB League Playoffs. Upon Geoff’s return to Sacramento, we will begin our
in-person workouts at the Practice Facility around May 21.

Rick Pitino has emerged as a candidate for the Sacramento Kings'coaching job,
multiple sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Pitino has communicated his interest in a possible NBA return to Kings
ownership, sources say, and one league official describes the Maloof family
as "intrigued."
Report: Pitino Wants To Coach Kings
Yahoo! Sports has reported that Louisville coach Rick Pitino is a candidate
for the Kings job.
Pitino has reportedly let Sacramento's ownership know that he is interested
in a return to the NBA. A source claimed that the Maloof family was
"intrigued," but Kings co-owner Gavin Maloof told Yahoo! that he has yet to
speak with Pitino.
"I think he's a great coach and he's done an unbelievable job at Louisville,"
Maloof told Yahoo! Sports. "But we haven't talked to him."
Pitino has previously coached the Knicks and Celtics.

Kings To Interview Eddie Jordan
Per a report from Troy Hanson, the Sacramento Kings confirmed this evening
that they have scheduled an interview with the former Kings Head Coach. The
interview will be conducted early this coming week, prior to Geoff Petrie
heading back to Europe.
This was widely expected, however, the timing of the interview is not.
Earlier this week, it was reported by the Kings themselves that they would
not be looking into the coaching candidacy until Geoff returned from his
second scouting trip to Europe, which was expected to be around May 21st.
Rumors are swirling that the Kings quickly sped up this process as rumblings
continue out of Philadelphia that the Sixers are very interested in hiring
Jordan.
