In only a short period of time, the distinctive R&B sounds of
Khalil Fong have taken over the Chinese music scene. Despite his
youth, Fong already carries within his bones the spirit of soul music.
Fong's fascination with music began at the age of five when he
watched a movie about 1950s music legend Ritchie Valens. Fong's
favorate genres of music are R&B (rhythm and blues) and soul.
Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Marvin Gaye are the individual
singers that have influenced Fong the most. Through the simple notes
of his music, Fong creates an intimate connection with his listeners
as he shares his innermost feelings. While Fong's music definitely
has soul, he has made the style his own.
