"I would say the biggest thing is knowing where to eat," he added. "I've got a lot of different places now where I realize, 'Oh, there's some good food here, there's some good food there. I could go here. It's not exactly every day a NBA player has a documentary made on him while he's still active. "I didn't get a chance to enjoy it as much just because it was in the middle of the season," Lin said. "When it comes out and comes out full, and everything gets done, and it's out and open to the public, I think that'll be kind of crazy. It definitely was an idea that took years for me to warm up to to be able to share my story with the rest of the world. But I'm just excited. The hype over what happened in New York thrust Lin into a role-model position like never before. "It's different," Lin said. "But the one thing I'll say is that I really have the best fans. Like, I have the most passionate and enthusiastic and die-hard fans. I'm so thankful for that. I think every month, every year that goes by, I learn to appreciate it more and more. And for me, I'm just trying to be myself. I'm going to make mistakes. One such example is Wat Misaka, the first Asian American to play in the NBA. During the 2013 season, Lin had the opportunity to meet Misaka on January 28 before the Rockets took on the Jazz in Salt Lake City. "We always have to give credit where credit is due and appreciate people who came before us," Lin said. "Because people like him, he gave people like me a chance. People talk about how I've been a trailblazer or whatever I may do to help the future or whatever.
