Tanaka regularly plays at right back for Japan and he has represented his
country at the 1996 Olympic Games, the 2004 Asian Nations Cup, and the 2005
FIFA Confederations Cup. Also featured prominently in Japan’s 2006 FIFA
World Cup qualifying campaign. Has played club football at Jubilo Iwata
for his entire professional career, winning the Japanese league title in
1997, 1999 and 2002. At the end of two of his J-League seasons he was voted
in the league’s best eleven.
田中诚担任日本的右後卫，并且早在 1996 年亚特兰大奥运就代表祖国出赛。他同时也
参与了 2004 年亚洲盃、和 2005 年的联合会盃。在 2006 世界盃预选赛上他一直是日
本不可或缺的後防大将，也有令人满意的演出。从出道至今都呆在磐田喜悦，曾和球队
在 1997、1999、2002 年夺下日本联赛冠军。在最近两个赛季里他连续被票选为联赛最
佳 11 人。
