Fantasy Analysis Jimenez has now gone 1-8 since the All-Star break, with a 7.43 ERA, and it is easy to see why; in 59 1/3 innings, Jimenez has surrendered 78 hits, a rate of 11.8 per nine innings. He has actually managed to improve his control since the first half of the season, with 27 walks in that time span, but he seems to have become easier to hit, which is generally not a trade off worth making, especial ly when he has allowed 1.52 home runs per nine innings as well. Things won’t be any easier for Jimenez in his next scheduled outing, as he is set to take on the Rangers, the Majors’ highest scoring offense.
