John Sickels 2006
Jensen Lewis pitched college ball at Vanderbilt, earning a third round
pick in the ’05 draft. His pro debut in the New York Penn League was
successful, particularly in the K/BB department at an outstanding +144
percent. His fastball has average velocity at 88-90 MPH, but he locates
it well, and sets it up nicely with a very good changeup and a decent
slider. He throws strikes and knows how to pitch. Lewis should do very
well in A-ball, but given his soso velocity Double-A will be a test for
him. Grade C+.
