换 Jeriome Robertson、用Ryan Church和Maicer Izturis换Scott Stewart、
用 Corey Smith换 Jake Gautreau、用 Cliff Bartosh换Ronald Bay。
Shapiro 坦承他们低估了 Izturis，另外他记错了一件事，Ryan Church交易
出去的时候Franklin Gutierrez还没来。
他也提到了签自由球员的态度：
Our philosophy is to find trade value in the free-agent market, have
a balanced payroll, have flexibility that allows us to make choices
instead of having choices made for us, and build it as a team. Have
tough outs one through nine instead of middle of the order guys that
dominate. We might have that anyway though, because we've got two big
young guys.
