从小就很喜欢彼得兔的故事，也看了波特小姐这一部电影。
到湖区旅游，算是一圆小时候的梦想吧！
湖区占地幅员广大，停留的时间有限，我待了4天，还是觉得不够，
如果能租个小屋住上10天半个月，一定很棒。
在湖区4天，每天都下雨;行前查了湖区的一周天气，预测还蛮准的，运气真是"好"......
想进行彼得兔的主题之旅，最有效率的方式就是参加tour.
我在Windermere YHA报名了Mountain Goat 这家的daily tour :
Beatrix Potter's Lakeland and Wordsworth Tour
Beatrix Potter's Hilltop Farm - home of Peter Rabbit
Jeremy Fisher's Esthwaite Water
Jemimah Puddleduck's village of Near Sawrey

A visit to Hilltop farm is a highlight of this tour but lovers of Beatrix
Potter know that her world extended throughout the Lake District,
from Sawrey, Hawkshead, Yewdale and Tarn Hows in South Lakeland to Newlands
and Derwentwater in the north and to the head of the Troutbeck Valley in the
east. This most comprehensive Lake District tour not only visits places
associated with Beatrix Potter, her delightful characters, her farms and
locations featured in the “Miss Potter” movie but also includes a
lake cruise on Coniston Water and some of the most beautiful lakes and
spectacular mountain scenery the area has to offer. With frequent stops
throughout the day for photographs and short walks, this tour is the ideal
way to enjoy the landscape that Beatrix Potter so loved and sought to
preserve.

优点：行程排得还可以，特别是天候不佳的情况下，有车子载着跑来跑去到很多点，
好过雨中行军式的步行，或是雨中苦等那班次少少的公车。
缺点：32英镑价格小贵，司机兼导游的服务态度普普。
Hawkshead Village:
地理位置在 Windermere 和 Coniston中间，算是位於湖区的中心地带，
美丽的村庄保存着一分古朴典雅的英式风格，
村庄起源於西元10世纪，
Hawkshead这个名字是根据最早创立村庄的人“Haukr”的名字而来。
约15世纪时这个村庄生产羊毛，为村庄带来了一段时间的繁荣，
而今日因为彼得兔的故事闻名於世界。
这里有多家彼得兔相关纪念品专卖店，每一样都好可爱啊啊啊~~~~~~
可是一想到我的行李箱必须控制在20公斤内才能上得了easyJet，克制克制!!!
同车有一位德国来的中年女士，买了一张Renee Zellweger （主演波特小姐的女主角）
录制的彼得兔床边故事集，
我问她：这个是买给你的小孩听的吗？
她说：不，是我自己要听的。
............喔喔，可见彼特兔的魅力不分老少大家都爱~~~
嗯，如果愿意步行，从Windermere走到Hawkshead Village 约3小时。
下次再到湖区，若是天气好我真的想慢慢散步走一趟。
这个村有个景点是英国着名的诗人William Wordsworth上学的学校
Hawkshead Grammar School.
建立於15世纪的教堂The Parish Church of St Michael.
喜欢欣赏建筑的人，教堂小巧古典的风格值得一看。
Hill Top Farm :
山顶农场是Beatrix Potter(1866-1943)度过大半生的家，
同时也是彼得兔和好朋友的家。
住家的外观是典型的17世纪农舍，内部保存了波特小姐居住时的家俱、手绘的
水彩作品图稿，内部不大， 不能摄影，而且入内参观的人都要把外套先脱下挂在门口。
屋外的农场花园保存得和彼特兔绘本里面的场景一模一样，一花一草好像从书中蹦出来。
当小时候看过的故事书里的风光就在眼前，那分感动是存在於记忆中，难以形容的。
