N-400 圣荷西

10/16/2025 oath ceremony notice was mailed (约两周後典礼)
绿卡满五年前三个月申请，刚申请时预估时间约五至六个月。每一次 status API 有更新
时，系统预估时间都会重设。到满五年那一天，预估时间变成两个月。在预估大概剩两周
时还是没面试的消息，我另外上传了五年的 IRS tax transcripts，如预料预估时间又重
设为两个月，但大约一两周後收到面试通知。面试通过了之後，没有像 FB/Reddit 上的
人説可以当天宣誓，但好在也是当天直接拿到 oath ceremony notice，预定两周後参加
典礼。

1. What are two rights in the Declaration of Independence?
2. Name one branch or part of the government.
3. What is the name of the Vice President of the United States?
4. Under our Constitution, some powers belong to the Federal government,
what is one power of the Federal government?
5. What is one responsibility that is only for US citizens?
6. Name one war fought by the US in the 1900s?

Washington was the first President.
当天预定面试时间半小时前进入圣荷西办公室，刚进入大厅时满多人在等待的，checked
in 後等了大概快一个小时。面试主要问个人资料，出生地，如何拿到绿卡，有没有改名
，现在地址，核对五年内出境日期。因为我小时候改过名，特别要了我的全户户籍藤本看
了一下。接下来就是一连串的快速 Yes or No questions。因为当过兵，所以有被特别询
问为什麽要当兵，当兵时有没有当过监狱的守卫，有没有下属，还有阶级专长和武器训练
。面试时长体感大约半小时。
