代po ---- EB2-NIW Background: Ph.D. at U.S. University Current: Post-doc in biochemistry Location: Seattle 10 publication (7 first-authored) with ~80 citations Timeline: 08/15/2019: I-140 submitted (LIN) 10/01/2019: I-485, I-765, I-131, I-693 submitted (MSC) 10/31/2019: Biometrics appointment 12/12/2019: Receive EAD 02/07/2020: I-140 approved 03/03/2020: Contact Senator Cantwell for status inquiry, 1st 04/07/2020: Response: Pending background check 04/13/2020: Contact Senator Cantwell for expedite (essential personnel for COVID research), 2nd 05/14/2020: Response: Your constituent's case will be reviewed as soon as possible 05/28/2020: RFE for birth certificate 05/30/2020: RFE received by NBC 06/18/2020: Senator Cantwell inquiry, 3rd 07/23/2020: Response: confusion over who should consider the expedite request (NBC or field office) 07/24/2020: Contact Senator Murray for expedite, 1st 08/13/2020: Liaison at the field office email me RFE for Supplement J 08/17/2020: RFE received by field office including a letter explained Supplement J is not required, blank Supplement J (filled only applicant part), employment letter, paystubs, tax return, W2, essential personnel letter 08/18/2020: New card is being produced 08/19/2020: Case was approved 08/24/2020: Received approved notice 这一年的时间从板上吸收不少资讯，我的申请经验可能有一些特殊的地方可以分享。 首先体检的部分，从uscis网站找到一个本校医院的医生符合资格，去抽个血， 拿I-693用保险annual check全部cover。 I-140的部分有请律师，但我心得是如果能拿到petition模板， 可能花一周的时间我应该可以写出同等quality的petition，马上省5000usd。 後来从朋友那边拿到他的I-140 petition，可能是领域接近，可以说70%左右都差不多， 让我感觉律师也是套膜版，其他不一样的地方主要也是我写给律师的部分。 I485的部分从去年10月压完指纹一直到New card is being produced， 中间状态没有改变过, 都是uscis fingerprint fee was received。 副申请人五月收到出生证明RFE，原本I-485只交了英文户籍誊本， 年初已经想到有可能被RFE，根据板上讯息已请台湾家人准备好正副申请人的原始户籍+ 翻译+法院盖章，所以连同主申请人的也一并寄回到NBC。另外副申请人的I-485上有勾了 public charge，当时在加州有申请medical但没有使用，主要是给小孩用，所以每次有 回信的cover letter上都有强调之後不会是public charge。 联络议员的部分，因为研究有SARS2相关，希望可以加急。前两次回应大致上很罐头， 第三次跟我说uscis不知道是filed office 还是 NBC来决定我能不能加急。所幸找WA的 另一个senator，两周之後跟我通知有一个七月的RFE没回覆？我根本没有收到这个RFE， 他扫描寄email给我原来是要Supplement J。打电话给学校HR，说学校政策只帮学校 sponsored的case签Supplement J，给我律师电话让我谘询。打电话律师说是uscis的 mistake可以帮写RFE response，600usd。已经被写grant & paper搞到每天强迫症的我， 决定自己花一个晚上写response。主要就是说uscus你搞错了NIW不用交Supplement J， 然後附上offer letter、paystubs和w2，再说一次不会是public charge 然後我对COVID疫情很重要，马上usps快递回去。隔天field office收到package， 我立刻联系Senator Murray Office说Seattle field office收到了我的package， 帮我催一下，结果下午状态马上改New card is being produced。 折腾了一年，希望尽快看到这green card庐山真面目 --
