很谢谢这个版的资讯，刚拿到绿卡，上来贡献一下我的经验 背景： 因为我的H-1B在今年(2013年)八月底到期，因此公司在2011年的八月就 询问我要不要办绿卡。这里说明一下，我们公司有自己一套申请绿卡的程 序/政策（有一个正式的绿卡申请公文），也有专属的律师事务所来处理所 有的H-1B和绿卡的申请，基本上就是照着程序和政策走，没有什麽商量的 余地。一直很挣扎要不要办绿卡，因为公司的基本政策是经理级以上才能用 EB-2，经理级以下就只能用EB-3。在2011年，当时的想法是，如果真的只能 用EB-3，那就不办，因为不想耗这麽久。後来HR和我打电话给律师後，确认 我可以用EB-2申请，才决定申请绿卡 概要： 种类：EB-2 (Primary) 学历：Master of Accounting 经历：1st Job: Jan 2007 to Nov 2008;2nd Job Nov 2008 to present 职称：Tax Senior 工作地点：New York 公司：Public Accounting Firm 处理中心：TSC 时程： Aug 29，2011 Labor Certification questionnaire sent to employer Sep 20，2011 Completed PERM Analysis for employee Sep 20，2011 PERM initiation letter& questionnaires sent to foreign national Nov 01，2011 Duties/requirements email sent to employer Nov 02，2011 Received approval of duties and requirements from employer Nov 02，2011 Requested verification of employment letter Nov 30，2011 Prevailing wage request filed with DOL Jan 25，2012 Received DOL prevailing wage determination Feb 17，2012 PERM recruitment started Mar 22，2012 Job order closed Mar 27，2012 Received job posting from employer May 15，2012 Draft ETA 9089 sent to foreign national for review May 18，2012 Received draft/approval ETA 9089 from foreign national May 29，2012 Received completed Applicant Evaluation Form from employer Jun 12，2012 PERM filed with DOL Aug 08，2012 DOL website indicated PERM certified Aug 16，2012 Received certified ETA 9089 Sep 26，2012 I-140 filed with USCIS Oct 09，2012 Received I-140 Receipt from USCIS Nov 05，2012 I-485, I-765 and I-131 filed with USCIS for foreign national Nov 21，2012 Received I-140 approval message from USCIS Nov 26，2012 Received Biometrics Appointment notice by mail Dec 05，2012 I-131 and I-765 Approval Dec 14，2012 Received EAD card and I765 Approval Notice by mail Dec 19，2012 Biometrics Appointment Completed – Long Island City, NY Jan 10，2013 Received I-485 approval message Jan 11，2013 Received card production message Jan 14，2013 Received new card mailed out message Jan 18, 2013 Received I485 formal approval notice(welcome notice) by mail Jan 19, 2013 Recieved Green Card by mail 後记： 基本上整个申请程序，我就是提供资料，偶尔写信给律师事务所问一下情况或是问题， 很少去找公司的HR，只有在申请I-140时想说要用Premium Process，去问HR是否可行， 结果是我只能用Regular不能用Premium，就算是自己想出钱用Premium也不行（公司 政策规定，除非H1-B快到期，不然一律用Regular申请）。但很也感谢公司的HR都能在 都能在最短的时间内把资料准备好，送给律师事务所。整个过程，就PERM的时间最长， 我也不清楚为什麽PERM的前置作业可以弄这麽久，从开始准备PERM到送去DOL花了快 十个月。申请I-485时刚好遇到2012年十月没有名额，幸好十一月开始又回复到 Current，因此事务所赶紧在十一月初送件。感恩节当天回台湾三个星期，十二月入境 时是用H1-B入境，回来後EAD卡就在信箱里了，不过似乎也用不到了。很幸运都没有被 Audit 或是REF，按指纹也很顺利，只能说上天保佑了。 --
