标题[心得]给雅思IELTS初心者的TIPS
时间Thu Apr 28 15:50:04 2011
又到了出国留学的准备季了!准备要去美加的同学要开始准备托福,而计画前往英纽澳的
同学们就要开始念雅思罗!
以下的小秘诀对准备雅思的初学者非常有用喔!
LISTENING
1. Don’t just glance at instructions; read them carefully. They can vary
considerably.
不要只快速看过题目,详细阅读‧因为题目可能会跟你想像的大不相同‧
2. It often happens that the speaker will give you an answer and then
correct what s/he has said - watch out for this ploy.
考题里常常出现更正答案的叙述,要小心这个陷阱‧
3. Try to anticipate what the speaker will say. This requires concentration
- easy in your own language, but more difficult in English!
试着去预测听力测验里讲者会说什麽‧这需要高度的专心,在我们的母语里很容易做到
,但是在英语里可就困难罗!
4. Although there are not that many IELTS books on the market, other
Cambridge exam preparation materials can provide valuable practice; for
example, FCE and CAE preparation books.
雅思的参考书虽然在市面上不多见,其它Cambridge考试的准备资料也是练习时的好题材
,例如像是FCE、CAE的参考书‧
5. Small errors can lead to a low score: spelling mistakes, omitting plural
's' or incomplete time indications.
小错误可能会让你低分,拼字错误、忘记复数形或是时间表达错误
6. Don’t panic if you think the topic is too difficult or the speaker is
too fast. Take a deep breath, relax and tune in.
如果题目太难或是讲太快的话不要惊慌‧深呼吸、放松然後开始作答‧
7. Read, write and listen at the same time. Tricky, but worth practicing!
同时间阅读,答题和听‧虽然有些奇怪,不过很值得练习喔!
8. Don’t leave blanks - you will not be penalised for wrong answers so you
might as well guess!
不要空格,猜题和写错题目不会被处罚的‧
READING
1. Leave a question for later if you can’t answer. Spending a long time on
one answer is not ideal. Go back later if you have time and guess if you have
to.
如果有你不会答的问题先空下来‧花多一点时间修正你不满意的答案‧如果你还有时间
的话再回去做这些题目或是用猜的‧
2. Don’t panic if you don’t know anything about the subject of the
passage. All the answers can be found in the passage and you don’t need any
specialist knowledge.
如果你对题目里的主题一无所知,请不要慌张‧所有的答案在文章里都可以找得到而且
你不用有特殊领域的知识‧
3. Remember, unlike the Listening section of the exam, you have no extra
time to transfer your answers at the end of the Reading section.
请记得阅读测验跟听力测验不同,你不会有多余的时间可以转换答案‧
4. As a preparation for the exam, read as widely as possible e.g.
newspapers, magazines, or journals. Don’t limit yourself to one type of text
and read articles with an academic style if possible.
在准备考试时,尽可能的广泛阅读,例如报章杂志‧不要只限定读同一种的文章或是论
文‧
5. Look at the way paragraphs are organized.
看一下文章段落是如何组织的‧
6. Try to predict the content of a paragraph from the opening sentence.
从起始的句子里就要开始预测文章段落里会出现什麽‧
7. Give a paragraph you read an imaginary heading.
想像一下你正在读的段落的标题‧
8. Don’t concentrate on words you don’t know. It only wastes valuable
time.
不要浪费时间在你不懂的单字‧那只会浪费你宝贵的时间‧
9. Careless mistakes cost points. Copy the answer correctly if it is
mentioned in the passage.
不小心的错误会扣分‧抄段落里的答案要注意喔!
10. Check your spelling, and make sure to put in singular or plural as
required.
检查拼字,确定名词的单复数是否正确‧
11. Only give one answer unless explicitly stated otherwise.
除非有特别说明,否则答案只有一个‧
WRITING
1. Highlight or circle key words.
将关键字划线或是圈起来‧
2. Clearly divide paragraphs.
分段要分清楚‧
3. Don’t repeat ideas using different words.
不要用不同的单字重复同样的论点‧
4. Stick to the topic.
紧扣题旨‧
5. Be careful with timing ! Don’t rush Task 2, it’s longer and carries
more weight.
注意时间‧第二题不要赶,这一题要花多点心思写长一点‧
6. Put one idea in each paragraph.
一段只写一个主题
7. Avoid informal language.
避免不正式的语言
8. Learn to recognize how long 150/250 words is in your handwriting. You
don’t really have time to count.
练习辩认150字、250在你的手写字里看起来多长‧考试时你不会真的有时间算‧
9. Get used to spending several minutes re-reading and correcting your
essays.
你要习惯花几分钟的时间重新看一下你写的文章并做修正‧
10. Don’t memorize model answers, they won’t fit the question and you will
make more careless mistakes. In addition, examiners are trained to recognize
them so your exam will be invalid.
不要死记答案的模组,他们不会真的符合问题而且你会犯更多错误‧另外考官有受过训
练可以辨认出来‧你的考试会被视为无效‧
SPEAKING
1. We want to test your ability to communicate effectively, and not just
your grammatical accuracy.
考试是要考你是否可以有效的沟通,不只是你的文法正确
2. Don’t learn chunks of answers. The examiner is trained to spot this and
will change the question.
不要背一长串的答案,考官经过训练能够查觉并且会更换问题‧
3. Develop your answers as much as possible.
回答题目的时候讲越多越好‧
4. Speak more than the examiner.
要比考官讲更多话‧
5. Ask for clarification if necessary.
如果需要的话,可以要求考官进一步说明(题目)
6. Remember, this is not a test of your knowledge but of your language
abilities. It is not a case of one answer being the correct one and all
others being wrong. Try to express your opinion.
请记住,考试不是考你的知识而是考验你的语言能力‧问题没有正确答案‧试着表达你
的意见‧
另外对雅思考试不是很了解,想要先看一些范例题的同学可以到雅思的官方网站上去下载
