Bentley closes in on Spurs switch
Blackburn's David Bentley could be a Tottenham player by the weekend after
having a medical on Wednesday.
Rovers rejected offers from Aston Villa and Spurs for the England winger but
the Londoners made another bid closer to Rovers' ￡18m valuation of him.
Bentley, 23, joined Rovers in 2006 and extended his contract last year but
has made it clear he wants to go.
