新闻来源 - Sky Sports Hutton - Forget cup glory Alan Hutton insists Tottenham must now forget about their Carling Cup triumph and concentrate on improving their Premier League position. Spurs ended a nine-year wait for silverware with a 2-1 extra-time victory over Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday. But they remain eight points away from a position in the top half of the table ahead of Saturday's trip to St Andrews to tackle Birmingham City. Despite an improvement in form since the arrival of Juande Ramos at the end of October, Hutton insists Spurs must continue to improve in their final 12 fixtures. He told Sky Sports News: "We have to put winning the cup to the back of our minds now and focus on the games that we've got ahead. "There are some big games coming up and we want to win as many as we can, we want to get as high up the table as possible and show that we should we be up in the top half. "We're putting some runs together now, we're starting to pick up form and we're doing well. "Every game down here is a tough game. It's a big gap at the moment but I'm sure that with the players that we've got if we can put a run together we can get as high up as we possibly can." Hutton, signed from Rangers for ￡8million during the January transfer window, has saluted fellow defender Jonathan Woodgate for his impact on the Spurs backline. Woodgate, who moved to White Hart Lane from Middlesbrough for a similar fee in January, scored the winner at Wembley but is a doubt for the Birmingham trip due to an ankle injury. Hutton said: "He's a fantastic player. He's such a calming influence in the back four and it's great to play alongside him. "I think he hurt his ankle a bit in the second half in the cup final.
