The 27-year-old capped a fine display at the heart of our defence alongside Ledley King by heading home the winning goal against Chelsea in the fourth minute of extra time at Wembley. Jermaine Jenas whipped in a free-kick from the left and 'Woody' got in front of the advancing Petr Cech, his header coming back off the Chelsea keeper and rebounding home. Named man of the match, Woody was outstanding alongside Ledley and two of 14 heroes that gave everything in defending our 2-1 lead as Chelsea piled forward in extra time. In the end, his header was enough to land our first trophy since 1999 and secure a place in the UEFA Cup next season. "I don't really go up for set-pieces but I took a chance, was able to get my head on it and luckily it went in," said Jonathan afterwards. "What a feeling. "We were tired but we're a fit side and we showed that throughout the game. "We have a great team spirit, that's what gets you through games sometimes and the work ethic and hard work we put into training has paid off. "Chelsea are a top side and they showed that but we did it. It's the best feeling ever to win a trophy, you can't better it.
