Darren Bent has been called into the England squad for the crucial Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia on Wednesday. Darren is the Club’s second top scorer this season and will now take his place in Steve McClaren’s squad following an injury to Michael Owen in Friday’s international friendly against Austria. “With the injuries that we have got we have called up Darren Bent from Spurs and also Owen Hargreaves will join us,” said McClaren. “He is scoring again, and with the likes of him, Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch we have enough strikers there.
