新闻来源 - Sky Sports Jol looks at defence Tottenham boss Martin Jol has highlighted the need to reinforce his defence over the summer months. Spurs set out their stall to break the stranglehold Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have had over the Premiership but, despite playing some of the most attractive football on show, they came up well short. Conceding 54 league goals proved to be too big an obstacle to overcome, while a long-term injury to Ledley King robbed Jol of his key defender, and the Dutchman is determined to avoid a repeat next term. "I think if we do better defensively next season - I don't want us to concede the amount of goals we have been - we can do better," Jol told the club's official website. "We are on a good level and maybe we just need one or two little ingredients to be really top class. We will try and do that.
