It will be the team's third run out at the Lane in seven days and similar outcomes to the previous two would be most welcome and would see us enter the draw for the quarter finals that takes place on Saturday. The Port Vale challenge will represent our seventh game in 21 days, a big ask, but something Martin says the squad are relishing. "For Port Vale it is a very important game, as it is for us," said the manager. "Luckily enough the draw gave us a home tie, which always helps, and our crowd will be behind us. "It is a difficult period with a lot of games, but we love it. If you look at our last couple of weeks or so with Besiktas, West Ham, MK Dons, Watford, Club Brugge and Chelsea, it has been a great time and we only want to extend that. We want to keep that winning feeling," added Martin before assessing the threat of the League One side. "They are a physical team with two big men up front - Constantine and Sodje. They have got good players in midfield like Sonner, Smith on the left - a good ball player - and at the back they have got real English type defenders like Walker, Abbey on the right and Miles on the left.
