The 17-year-old arrived from Slavia Prague earlier this year and is very highly-rated at White Hart Lane. Pekhart admits it was hard to settle at first and he needed the help of compatriot Radek Cerny - the number two goalkeeper at Tottenham. "Radek Cerny helped me a lot at the beginning," he told CTK. "He even took me home and explained to me how the things work here." Pekhart is happy with how Spurs' big names mingle with the youngsters at the club. "When I saw the first team players it was only on television, I knew them only as stars. But here, I eat with them at one table and they are all very friendly," he said. "All players are level with each other which is very different from the situation at some Czech clubs." The youngster is also very happy with how things are going on the field, despite an early injury. "A week after my arrival, I played in my first game and after five minutes, I twisted my ankle. At that moment, I guess they were saying what a good buy they had made," Pekhart said ironically. "Nowadays, it is much better, I scored four goals in the last four games for the Football Academy." Pekhart was disappointed he did not get the chance to line-up against his former side in the Uefa Cup.
