官网访谈 Ledley King is confident our new-look defensive line will be a success this season. Skipper Ledley, central defensive partner Michael Dawson and full-backs Pascal Chimbonda and Benoit Assou-Ekotto have kept clean sheets in our last two fixtures against Slavia Prague and Fulham. The back four, plus goalkeeper Paul Robinson, will aim to maintain that record when we travel to Anfield and an always highly-anticipated clash against Liverpool in the Premiership on Saturday. Ledley, only just back from injury, said: “We haven’t had too much time to work together as a back four for various reasons but we feel we’re all good players in our positions and that we can be a success. “The last two games have been clean sheets and we’ve been pleased with how we’ve defended. “Everyone knows about Daws and Robbo and Pascal played a full season in the Premiership at Wigan. “Benoit is a bit younger, comes from a different league and we’ve been impressed. He’s not afraid of putting a foot in and is a great athlete, gets up and down, has a great left foot and he’ll be a real asset for us this season. “It’s just about trying to learn each other’s style of play and each other’s habits.” Martin Jol has also been impressed. “We have options on the left with Benoit and Young-Pyo, more on the right with Chimbonda and Paul Stalteri, Ledley is back and he's a big player for us.
