The impish striker is in a red hot run of form and on Monday grabbed a brace as Tottenham claimed a crucial three points against West Brom, which keeps them on course to claim a UEFA Champions League spot. Keane's double marked his hundredth in league football, in what has previously been somewhat of a nomadic career that has seen the Irishman pitch up at five clubs despite his tender years. Just last season, even at the start of the present campaign, Keane was in-and-out of Martin Jol's starting line-up but this term has seen the player emerge as a key performer in Spurs' success and having just signed a new four-year deal, it is a relationship he is keen to continue. ''It's probably the most satisfying time of my career,'' he told the Daily Star. ''I'm really enjoying it. At the start of the season I wasn't even playing. ''But in that situation you have to knuckle down and work hard, and since I've come back into the side I've really enjoyed my football. ''I didn't even know about the milestone before the game, but of course that's an added bonus.
