The North Londoners were reportedly scouting the wide man, with talk of a possible transfer bid increasing after he turned in a solid performance for the French Under-21 side at White Hart Lane recently. But Tottenham sporting director Damien Comolli has played down suggestions that manager Martin Jol is about to raid the French outfit, telling the club's official website: "Any stories linking us with a move for Ribery are pure speculation. "Of course, we all know he is a wonderful player and we all enjoyed watching him at the Lane.
