It's the first red clay showcase for contenders of Roland Garros 2007. World #1 Justine is seeded at the top, and defending title holder Kim Clijsters is seeded #2. The Belgian 1-handed backhand tennis icon will play her first match on Wednesday or Thursday against the winner of Kaia Kanepi versus Anna-Lena Groenefeld. The top four seeds have a bye for round 1. Justine has played Groenefeld once before, and that was at last year's Roland Garros which was won in two sets. The match with Estonia's Kaia Kanepi maybe their first career meeting. If all goes well for Justine in her opening round she could face Nadia Petrova in the quarterfinals, and follow up with another semi-final meeting with Jelena Jankovic or Anna Chakvetadze. The bottom half of the draw features very experienced clay court foes such as Kim Clijsters, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Venus Williams, and Elena Dementieva. This will be the Justine's second visit to Warsaw. She last played at the J&S Cup in 2005, and won the trophy by defeating Svetlana Kuznetsova in the final 3-6 6-2 7-5. EUROSPORT, and the Tennis Channel in the United States will air the J&S Cup semi-finals, and final. There will be live daily coverage on Polish sports station Polsat.
