The conditions were far from ideal, and players throughout the day on show courts were having difficulties with serves, yet Justine was effective on first serves. Their most recent meeting was at the 2006 WTA year-end Championships in Madrid. The Belgian tennis icon won that in two sets 6-4 6-4.
