But Definitely In New York! 15/08/2006: After a few days of rest, Justine returned back on the practice court for training, but to further fine tune her hardcourt game she may play in New Haven at the Pilot Pen (Tier II) next week with the use of a wildcard. It's less than 15 days before the beginning of the US OPEN, the last big tennis hurrah. The North American leg of the summer hardcourt events, known collectively as the US OPEN series, has been in full swing with players preparing their last chance at grand slam glory for the year. Justine had to forfeit San Diego and Montreal, due to her knee injury, but could make an appearance in New Haven, Connecticut; the last tournament before New York. She has obtained a wild card and will see how things go in the next few days to make her final decision for the Pilot Pen. In spite of the minor physical blips Justine will be playing the full grand slam, four majors in a tennis season, for the first time in three years. No matter what her final decision is regarding New Haven, participation in US OPEN - will not be compromised.
