Flavia Pennetta defeated Germany's own Julia Schruff 7-5 6-2 today, and will now face off with Justine most likely on Wednesday. Justine's played Pennetta once before, and that was in the 2nd round at Wimbledon 2003. The Belgian was the victor over the Italian 7-6(7-2) 6-1. Flavia Pennetta a double hander; is having her best career season. She's won two titles earlier this year on clay in Bogota, Columbia, and a Central American event in Acapulco, Mexico. The Italian also reached the US Open doubles final partnering with Elena Dementieva. Justine will have to display her offensive shot making best in the premiere match, and later rounds; if she is to keep her promise of qualifying for Los Angeles.
