http://www.henin-hardenne.be/bin/index.asp?lang=en Filderstadt Rendezvous 17/09/2005: Justine announced Thursday that her return back on court for 2005 will be starting at Filderstadt, Germany then heading toward Zurich, Switzerland. If all goes well, and she qualifies for the WTA championships, her final season tour date will be Los Angeles. Earlier this week Justine received her injury diagnosis, and positive progress toward healing was revealed. Her doctors advised her to continue playing competative tennis. They also stated that a total stop to tennis would not quicken the mending process, nor stop the discomfort when on court; but they can ensure a total cure within 2-3 months. Justine must now be vigilant, and respect the prescribed program of exercises that her doctors have given. Justine's new prescribed program will have her continuing to be active on court; even during the mid-Novemeber holiday period. She'll be required to maintain a certain level of work to strengthen her tendon. By late December, the hamstring problem should be nothing more than a bad memory, leaving her at peace to prepare for 2006. Presently, Justine is doing fine in practice sessions. The injury isn't bothering her, and she's looking forward to playing freely, giving 100% in her next tournaments at Filderstadt from October 3, and in Zurich on Oct 17. The Swiss event holds great memories for Justine, not only did she win the tournament defeating Jelena Dokic in 2003, but it was also there that she was officially crowned number #1 for the first time. Currently in at #4 on the WTA Race to the Championships, Justine hopes to win her matches at the European indoor events, and gain the points to solidify her qualification for the final eight in November at Los Angeles.
