As with the wingers, people would argue that they should be trained according to usefulness. So the argument would go that in the case of wingbacks, they should first be trained in winger. This will allow you to use them as offensive wingbacks (for a killer side attack) while you train them in defending. If you would train them in defending first, you’d be faced with the decision to either have a high skilled defender making a relatively small contribution to your defense when played as (defensive) winger, play him twice a week to fully utilize his defending skill (once as defender/wingback, once as winger for training), or to just put him in the 50% wingback training slot and thus train him at half speed only. 在选择边锋训练位的训练球员时，很容易遇到训练vs比赛成绩的两难抉择 很多玩家会优先根据球员是否能对比赛评级做出贡献，决定边锋训练位的球员人选， (注:有时你要训练後卫的边锋技能，那麽你需要把後卫摆在边锋， 但是如此对堆比赛评级是没有用的。) 同样的两难抉择，也出现在边後卫的训练位选择。 在边後卫训练位摆上一个真正的边锋是优先选择，可以让该球员踢进攻型边後卫， 如此同时可以堆出不错的边路进攻评级，以及满足球员的训练。 如果你在训练後卫的边锋技能，你有三个选择 1. 让後卫踢(防守型)边锋，防守评级的贡献较低，但是得到100%训练效果。 2. 让後卫一周上场两次，一场踢後卫拼比赛成绩、一场踢边锋满足训练效果。 3. 让後卫踢边後卫，能对防守评级做出贡献，但是只能得到50%的训练效果。 Having trained his defending and winger up to an acceptable level, you could consider adding some playmaking, since neutral and offensive wingbacks do use a noticeable part of their playmaking (23% for offensive, 16,7% for neutral) or some passing, if you use CA/AIM/AOW.
