Maybe you have forgotten what I had told all of you how poor I was cuz my parents had a 20 million dollar debt in 1985. And it took me 18 years to earn every penny to make my living and pay for the debt..... Since you say that this is a society full of expensive goods and everyone's parents can't get a promotion in their position and salary, then how come there are so many magnificent villa and mansion built in every big city in Taiwan. I always tell my students to study hard to make their lives more reliable and stable. Most of the time, I tell you guys the truth cuz I don't want to lie to you. However, all of my friends and colleagues always persuade me not to say so much. I have so many students and I also work 60 hours a week standing all day teaching, speaking and editing handouts (49 weeks a year )( for the past 10 years ). Should I be poor, or always tell u I am poor?! What you said is not fair. YOU can't tell a doctor, lawyer,CEO,accountant to live like all citizens and forbid them to show their sense of achievement cuz you think that's not considerate for the poor family. ON the contrar, I should tell those kids to work hard to make their parents live better life because of their achievement. This is the first time for me to express my feelings and I deeply hope it can be helpful...by the way, I seldom tell u guys about my wife's jewelry or my cars; however, i always tell my students to come to me if they are in need..... Thanks anyway, though I am deeply sad about your opinion of me.....I think I am not as good and considerate as I thought of myself.................... --
