Frank Lampard, second in last year's voting, is joined by Michael Ballack, Petr Cech, Didier Drogba, Michael Essien and Andriy Shevchenko. Chelsea's six makes us the most represented club. Barcelona and AC Milan have four players each. There are 12 players from the Premiership in the shortlist which was decided by FIFA experts. Last season, Chelsea had four in the select 30 that also contained Ballack and Shevchenko in their pre-Chelsea days. Cech is the only one of our players named for the first time. The list will be voted on by the head coaches and captains of each national team and a final three will be announced in early December. The winner will be declared on December 18 in Zurich. The prestigious award is in its 16th year and Ronaldinho is looking to make it a hat-trick of wins. Zinedine Zidane is the only other previous winner in line again. Shevchenko joins Lampard in having previously gone close.
