Status Kuo
Kuo worked around a leadoff walk in the ninth for his 12th save. His final
ERA of 1.200 edges Eric Gagne (1.202 in 2003) for the lowest season ERA in
the 127-year history of the Brooklyn and LA franchise.
Torre said beforehand of Kuo's success: "80 percent of it is his heart. He
wills himself to do certain things. ....
"I think a major part of his success is all about his whole makeup. And it's
great to see, because he's a great kid, and has just great affection for his
teammates. It's great to have a guy like that."
