Juan Carlos is one of the elite players on the European and international scenes. He brings significant big game experience, outside shooting, passing skills and a fierce competitiveness to the Grizzlies.” Navarro played the last nine seasons with FC Barcelona in his native Spain, leading the team to four ACB League championships and earning the league’s Most Valuable Player award in 2006. He was also a key member of Spain’s 2006 World Championship team with Grizzlies forward Pau Gasol.
