Why? Because Battier emerged as one of the league’s best and most reliable sixth men last season. Coming off the bench in all but one of his 79 games, Battier averaged 8.5 ppg and 3.8 rpg in under 25 minutes per game last season. He finished first in the NBA in Steals Per Turnover Ratio at 1.80, shot 44.6% from the field and 34.9% from three-point range.
