因为在文法书上看到以下这段文章，有不懂之处想请教神人指导
Stella was alone in a strange city.She walked down the avenue slowly,looking i
n shop windows.Suddenly,she turned her head and looked behind her.Someone had
called her name.
上述时态的背景应该是设定在过去式吧？如果是这样的话，那为什麽looking in的look是
采用inch的形式呢？
