标题[问题] 有关运动地理学的定义(翻译)

这是Bale, J. 1989: Sports Geography里面的一段，前面是运动地理的定义：
The study of spatial variations in the pursuit of various sports and of the
impact of sporting activities on the landscape. Interest in these topics is
growing, given the increased use of RECREATION and LEISURE in many societies,
as evidenced by the launching of a specialized journal - Sport Place.
以下是我自己翻译的：(我只翻到第一句完，因为我主要想知道运动地理的定义)
运动地理学：追求不同运动的空间变化，与陆地上运动影响的学说。
但是我觉得翻得好烂...还是不太懂＠＠＂
想请教各位正确的定义>"<
还有就是Bale曾提出三方面有价值的研究方向：
１。Study of the changing spatial pattern of sparts activity, as, for example,
with the DIFFUSION of a new sport from its origin, and the study of sporting
regions, areas identifying with particular sports (cf. LOCALITY);
２。Study of the 'sports landscape' and how it changes, as in the design and
visual impact of stadia and golf courses; and
３。Prescriptions for changing the spatial organization of sport and sporting
landscapes.
