Shih-Lung Shaw's research interests include transportation and geographic
information science (GIS), especially on topics related to air
transportation, effects of information and communications technologies (ICT)
on human activity and travel patterns, transportation planning and modeling,
time geography, temporal GIS, and GIS for transportation (GIS-T). He served
as Chair of Transportation Geography Specialty Group and Secretary/Treasurer
of GIS Specialty Group, The Association of American Geographers (AAG). He is
also an Editorial Board Member of Journal of Transport Geography and
Southeastern Geographer.
