Much of Green Day's new output recalls their three-minute pop/punk anthems from the '90s, but "The Forgotten" is the type of big-ballad emoting the band has also long maintained in their arsenal, from "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" to "Wake Me Up When September Ends." "The Forgotten" marks Green Day's first foray into the world of "Twilight." The soundtrack for the final "Twilight" film is set to arrive November 13, just three days before the movie hits theaters. Chop Shop and Atlantic Records put the Green Day track alongside contributions from Passion Pit, Feist and franchise co-star Nikki Reed (with husband Paul McDonald), among others. "When we were asked to be part of the 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon, and we have always been impressed with the way the 'Twilight' soundtracks are so carefully curated," bassist Mike Dirnt recently told Yahoo!
