标题[问题] OV SC 39

A study commissioned by the department of agriculture showed that if
calves exercise and associate with other claves, they require less
medication and gain weight more quickly than those raised in confinement.
请问为什麽不能写 than do those raised in confinement?
解答说do 要省略
加上do不是可以跟require平行吗?
