Murray, whose hip was injured in his quarter-final on Friday, was broken five times in total as he lost 6-2 6-3. Murray said: "After the first couple of games, I realised that when you can't change direction and when the movement is missing, it's quite hard to play." Rafael Nadal beat home favourite Andy Roddick 6-4 6-3 in the other semi. The 20-year-old made 33 winners and only 12 unforced errors as he saw off Roddick in one hour 13 minutes.
