"Like anything else, guys have to be ready, guys have to step up and embrace the opportunity, and we move forward," head coach Mark Jackson said before Tuesday's game against the Pistons. "It's a credit to our depth and versatility that we'll find a way to still get it done." Despite being bothered by lower leg pain since the team was in China last month, Douglas averaged 6.4 points and shot 44 percent on three-point attempts in 16 minutes per game as Stephen Curry's primary sub. Douglas had 21 points on 5-of-9 three-point shooting Friday in San Antonio. Without Douglas, Jackson said, swingman Andre Iguodala will take on more of the backup point-guard duties, and second-year guard Kent Bazemore will get minutes ahead of rookie Nemanja Nedovic. "The question will be: Can (Bazemore) get it done? If he does, it will continue to be him," Jackson said. "If not, the next man in line is Nedo. I'm totally fine with putting him in the game.
