标题rsync无法使用--iconv

各位先进好，小弟最近利用rsync进行异地备份时发生了一些问题，
烦请各位先进协助解答一下。
1.执行rsync时，会有错误讯息出现，不知是否为正常?或漏掉那些设定?

rsync error: syntax or usage error (code 1) at main.c(1420) [client=3.0.8]
2.当我执行/usr/local/bin/rsync -CaP --iconv=big5,utf8 --delete
--password-file=/usr/local/etc/rsyncd.secrets .....之指令时，却出现以下错误。
可是明明rsync 3.X就有支援iconv的参数(man page写的)，为何还会错误呢?
rsync: --iconv=big5,utf8: unknown option
rsync error: syntax or usage error (code 1) at main.c(1435) [client=3.0.8]
