『6.2R才开始有的』那是指 base system 的部分吧，
ports tree 方面 security/freebsd-update 大约 2003/03/21 就有罗
FreeBSD 6.0 -RELEASE 是在 2005 年 11 月出的。
可以 head /usr/ports/security/freebsd-update/Makefile 看看
