Just beat Doom3 last night, it was all right. Here's my system spec just in case anyone wants to know: P4 2.6GHz, 1024 RAM, GeForce FX 5900,and SB Live! Game runs at 1024x678, high quality. I didn't want to have the FPS number while playing, but there was no slow down except at the initial loading each lvl. The graphics are NICE. Although most of the scares rely on scripted events. (ie. zombies behind corner, imps droppping from ceiling, etc) Still, for anyone who -really- play it hardcore, it WILL give you a few good shocks. I consider the game worth the 50 bucks (I live in the US), but that's only because I expect something like Doom II, and not focusing on multi-player online. Although Doom 3 engine offers a lot to the modders, incidentally, there's a mod which allows you to use the flashlight with weapons. I'd say it's for cowards;p Ya know what, ignore what Gamespot was yapping about, if you saw their video review and the picture of their 'testing ground.' You would realize they weren't really playing it serious - they had the lights on and people standing behind the tester. I bet he didn't use headset to prevent any background chatter either.
